Harambee is a Kiswahili term for ‘pulling together’. This
spirit of community is evident, not only in the Kenyan communities,
but also in the support of our contributors back home. We have
been moved and inspired by the generous contributions of funds
and resources, volunteer hours, creative talents, waiving of
professional fees, and the planning of successful fundraising
events. Individual persons, schools, businesses, and
community groups have truly captured the HARAMBEE spirit and
have proven to be the heart behind the work that we do.
